The Weeknd is adding another milestone to his resume.

After three sold-out nights at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., the 35-year-old superstar, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, made history as the highest-grossing Black male artist to ever perform at the stadium, drawing over 163,000 fans, according to a Live Nation press release shared with PEOPLE.

The monumental performances took place during the same weekend as New York City’s popular Governors Ball Music Festival, with The Weeknd alone selling over 40,000 more tickets than the entire festival, per the release. The performer also collaborated with Global Citizen, donating $1 from each ticket sold to help children in vulnerable communities throughout the world.

On Monday, June 9, the Canadian singer-songwriter shared an Instagram post with the caption, “METLIFE 3 NIGHTS ✅ MAGIC.” The post included a video of MetLife Stadium from above, with fireworks blazing into the air as his single “Less Than Zero” was being performed.

As part of his ongoing After Hours Til Dawn Tour, The Weeknd was joined by special guests Mike Dean and Playboi Carti. The rapper made an appearance during The Weeknd’s set and expressed his appreciation to the star for inviting him on tour.

“I love you so much man,” Playboi Carti said during the Saturday, June 7 show, which PEOPLE attended. “Thank you for the opportunity. I never thought I’d see myself in this stadium. This s— is crazy,” the rapper concluded, before the two shared a hug.
